How do I book a session?
If you would like to talk more, or are ready to book a session click the 'contact' button at the top of the page. Fill out the form & send it to me. If you would like to chat first let me know, I am more than happy to email with you or arrange a time to chat over the phone
What happens after I have booked a date?
Once we have had a chat & scheduled in a date, I will send you a booking email including an invoice & a questionnaire. I require a deposit to confirm your session date, once this is paid you are all booked in
Do you travel?
I am based in the Wairarapa, but I am happy to travel to within the Wellington & Manuwatu regions. There are additional travel fees for locations more than 25km out of Masterton. Send me a message & we can chat!
What happens during a session?
We will meet at our location or your home. I will give you plenty of natural prompts, so you’re never left wondering what to do. The real magic happens when you start to feel relaxed and let the moments unfurl. I like to describe my style as gently posed but we will also capture plenty of authentic, candid moments
What time of day is best?
Typically sunset is the best time of day to photograph for that nice soft, flattering light. Overcast days are really lovely too. I try & avoid shooting in harsh sun to avoid squinty photos. Of course in Wellington there is often a chance of rain! I will shoot in any weather, however if you don’t want to get wet yourselves, we can reschedule to a date that suits us both. A light shower can make for great photos and storms are my personal favourite! But if it's torrential or super windy I’ll be in contact with you
What happens after our session?
Within 48 hours of our session I will send you a couple of 'sneak peak' photos. Your full gallery will be ready in 2-6 weeks

What if we are really awkward?
Most of my clients claim to be awkward! Don’t worry, I know, it can be nerve wracking to get in front of the camera. I always do my best to make you feel comfortable & I will give you guidance if you feel a bit stiff. But most of the time, I receive a message after saying how much fun the session was & how comfortable everyone felt. That is always my goal!
What if my kids won't play the part?
I have children of my own & have also I worked with young children for over a decade. I will not feel put out by your little ones. We always allow plenty of time for happy moments to unfold. Candid photos with children are often the best and given the time & space to explore these moments often unfurl themselves
What should we wear?
Don’t worry! If you are unsure I can send you a style guide once you are booked in which covers what to wear. I do have a small client wardrobe available for my clients to wear including dresses & baby items
Should we bring anything?
Please bring along any props or cultural items you have in mind - a special blanket, heirloom item, korowhai etc. For babies & children, think about bringing some neutral toys you'd be happy to be in the images. If you would like to bring a treat to encourage children to take part, I recommend mini marshmallows. They’re clean and quick to eat
Will you share my photos online?
The photographs that we capture are for you, not for my social media pages. If my clients allow me to share their images I am extremely grateful, but this is by no means expected. It is just a bonus. I will never share your photos online without your consent
How can I download my images?
You will receive your images in a private, online gallery. I will send you the link & password via email. You are able to share this gallery with friends & family to download too. The gallery will be available for three months so please download & save all your images somewhere safe. You can print your own images. If you do choose to print yourself please use a professional printing lab. I have plenty of recommendations. Images will be available to download in high resolution for printing & lower resolution for social media
